Originally hailing from Chicago, Illinois, she embarked on her career in Colorado, where she spent a decade as a stylist in Crested Butte, followed by another 18 years in Grand Junction, honing her craft amidst the picturesque mountains.

Despite her love for the mountains, Bernie harbored a lifelong dream of living by the water. In pursuit of this dream, she bid farewell to the scenic peaks and embraced the serene beauty of the sea. In April 2018, Bernie brought her expertise to Ulta in Fort Myers, yet her entrepreneurial spirit yearned for more. Seeking autonomy and creative freedom, she ultimately found her home at Epic Salon & Suites, stepping away from the corporate world to nurture her own business.

Throughout her career, Bernie has enriched her skills through training with esteemed stylists from around the globe, including luminaries such as Sam Villa, Sam Bracato, and Phillip Wilson.
